Branch Collection Season Returns in April
With spring just around the corner, the City of Twinsburg is preparing to resume its monthly branch chipping program, helping residents clean up their yards after the winter season and recent storms.
Our regular branch chipping schedule will begin Monday, April 6, marking the first collection of the season. As always, Twinsburg’s Service Department is ready to assist residents in keeping our neighborhoods clean, safe, and looking their best.
While the recent storms brought some debris, Twinsburg fared better than many surrounding communities. Because of this, and because our crews begin seasonal collection earlier than most cities, a special pickup was not necessary. Instead, we’re giving residents a little extra time to gather branches and prepare for the first scheduled collection.
How the Program Works
Twinsburg’s branch chipping program runs the first Monday of each month, with crews making one complete pass through the city during each cycle.
To ensure your branches are collected:
Place branches at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled Monday
Stack branches neatly with the cut ends facing the street
Keep branches no larger than 10 inches in diameter
Place piles in a way that is easily accessible and clear of obstructions
These simple steps help improve efficiency and enhance safety for our crews while operating chipping equipment.
Additional Options
For smaller yard debris, residents can also bundle branches and place them curbside for regular pickup through Waste Management services.

Updated Parking Signs Helping Residents Better Understand On-Street RulesFollowing last year’s update to the City’s on-street parking ordinance, Twinsburg is continuing work to make parking rules clearer and easier for residents and visitors to understand.During the March 10 Safety Committee meeting, Chief Tom Mason shared that the City is about 65% complete with replacing older parking signs to reflect the updated rules. While the ordinance now allows more on-street parking in certain situations, overnight parking is still not permitted, and other important restrictions remain in place. The updated signs are designed to make the rules easier for residents and visitors to understand. Entry points into the city include larger signs explaining key parking restrictions, including the prohibition on parking between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., restrictions on the hydrant side of the street, and winter snow-ban rules when snowfall exceeds two inches. In neighborhoods, new signs are also being placed on hydrant sides of streets and near cul-de-sacs where parking is not permitted.Chief Mason said the Police Department is continuing to work with the Service Department as the remaining signs are installed and will keep using city communications to help remind residents about the rules. The goal is to make expectations clear, improve compliance, and help keep streets safe and accessible year-round.Police also noted that overnight parking violations are typically cited, but officers may use discretion in certain situations, such as family gatherings or special events. Residents can still call ahead to request temporary permission for street parking when needed.“We want residents and visitors to clearly understand the parking rules throughout the city,” Chief Mason said. “The updated signs are meant to make those rules easier to follow, whether it’s overnight parking, hydrant-side restrictions, or snow-related parking bans, so we can keep our streets safe and accessible for everyone.” -

When will the intersection improvements at Ravenna Road, Shepard Road, and Richmond Road be completed?
Community Member asked 18 days agoThanks for asking. We understand this project has taken longer than anyone would have liked, and we truly appreciate the community’s patience as the final pieces come together.
The City is currently expecting delivery of the new traffic signal poles and equipment in April. These components have been on backorder, there is a chance delivery could slip. Once the signals arrive and are installed, the contractor will be able to complete the final paving work at the intersection.
If the schedule holds and the signals arrive in April, paving could take place in May—once the local asphalt plants reopen for the season and temperatures are appropriate for surface installation. If there are additional delays with the signal delivery or weather-related paving schedules, the timeline may extend slightly into early summer.
The remaining work includes installation of the traffic signal poles, final milling and resurfacing of the intersection once asphalt plants reopen, completion of a few remaining asphalt driveways, some curb work on Shepard Road, and final landscaping.
This has been one of the more complex projects the City has undertaken. The intersection sits at the boundary of four municipalities and two counties, and the improvements required coordination among multiple agencies, utility companies, and multiple funding sources to reach an equitable solution for everyone involved.
While the process has taken time, the end result will be a significantly improved gateway into the community with better traffic flow, updated signals, and a much cleaner, more modern intersection. Thank you again to everyone who has remained patient throughout the process. We believe the finished intersection will be well worth the wait.
