Update - 12/6/22
Mayor-elect Scaffide was officially sworn in on December 6 as City of Twinsburg Mayor by the Hon. Lisa Coats of the Stow Municipal Court. See video here (YouTube).
Update - 11/29/22
Summit County Board of Elections published the final official Mayoral election results on November 29. Those results show that Mayor Scaffide received 3,665 votes (43.96%) of the vote, Bill Furey with 1,7998 (21.56%), Brian Steele received 1,599 (19.18%), Ronald Fruscella received 888 (10.65%) and John M. Porter received 388 (4.65%).
2022 Mayoral Election
Congratulations to Twinsburg’s interim Mayor, Sam Scaffide, who will continue to serve as full-time Mayor.
According to the Summit County Board of Elections, the unofficial Mayoral election results show that Mayor Scaffide received 3,604 votes (43.97%) of the vote, while Bill Furey garnered 1,769 (21.58%), Brian Steele received 1,576 (19.23%), Ronald Fruscella received 870 (10.61%) and John M. Porter received 377 (4.60%).

What happens with Ward 1 Council vacancy?
The city is now looking for a new Ward 1 councilperson as Mayor Sam Scaffide prepares to resign his council role when he is sworn in as Twinsburg's next full-time Mayor.
How is the replacement determined?
Per Charter section 3.06 council has 30 days from the vacancy to appoint a replacement. If a replacement is not made within 30 days, the mayor will appoint.

Charter section 3.03 outlines the requirements for councilmembers.
